To accurately grasp the essential context and implement the rural vitalization strategy, learn from advanced experience of rural development at home and abroad, and inherit and promote China’s farming civilization, the Office of the Organizing and Steering Committee of the Chinese Farmers Harvest Festival is set to hold an international seminar on rural development in September 2020. The Office is now issuing the call for seminar papers, asking for a variety of perspectives of people from all walks of life at home and abroad with an interest in rural development.
Key topics of the papers may cover the following themes: 1) thriving rural businesses and the integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries; 2) green development and the ecological revitalization of rural areas; 3) theoretical and practical exploration of rural culture and governance; 4) China’s poverty reduction efforts and international poverty reduction experience; 5) inclusive development and rural vitalization; 6) the development and cultural essence of world harvest festivals; and 7) inheritance and promotion of Chinese agricultural civilization and harvest culture. Papers submitted should be highly thoughtful or relevant to practice. Those of 5,000-8,000 words that contain full and accurate data and theoretical guidance for practice are encouraged. The Office of the Organizing and Steering Committee of the Chinese Farmers Harvest Festival will invite experts to review the papers.
