They made exchanges on the agricultural policies of China and Australia and discussed the areas for future agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
Han said the healthy and stable development of Sino-Australian relationship was in the fundamental interests of peoples in the two countries. China and Australia were highly complementary in agriculture, holding huge potential for cooperation. China hoped the two sides could increase political mutual trust and promote the healthy development of agricultural cooperation between the two countries in a sustained manner based on principles of mutual respect, equality, and mutual benefit. Upon request, Han also introduced China's policies on poverty alleviation, rural revitalization strategy, and biological technologies.
