CNPC awarded "Social Responsibility Prize"

The first "Summit Forum on a Chinese Harmonious Society and Social Responsibility" was held at the Great Hall of the People on February 3. The results of a survey were released at the forum and CNPC was awarded the 2006 "Social Responsibility Prize". CNPC Discipline and Inspection Group Chief Wang Fucheng attended the forum and answered reporters' questions.

Mr. Wang pointed that the "Social Responsibility" prize is a major honor and is a manifestation of CNPC's contribution to technical progress, social welfare and environmental protection. CNPC donated a total of more than RMB 2.06 billion to public welfare and relief funds during the period of the 10th Five-Year Plan (2001-2005). CNPC donated RMB 436 million and paid a total of RMB 177.7 billion in taxes in 2006.
