Being listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on November 5 with stock No. 601758, PetroChina Company Limited, a subsidiary of CNPC,raised 66.8 billion yuan (8.9 billion U.S. dollars) by selling 4 billion A shares.

PetroChina shares opened at 48.6 yuan on their first day of trade in the mainland A-share market, up 191 percent from their IPO price of 16.7 yuan, and closed a little lower at 43.96 yuan.
