At 5:30pm on May 26, CNPC received an urgent command from the earthquake relief headquarters of Sichuan Province to supply diesel oil to assist in the draining of Tangjiashan "quake lake". Having received the command, CNPC Sichuan Marketing Company immediately filled 140 barrels with 20 tons of diesel oil which could be dropped by aircraft. The diesel was sent to Nanjiao Airport in the city of Mianyang, Sichuan Province at 5am on May 27,five hours earlier than required.
