Chief Veterinary Officer Li recapped the two countries’ agricultural cooperation and spoke highly of the outcomes over the past few years. He noted that the fifth meeting of the China-Uzbekistan Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee was recently held in Beijing and set the right direction for the bilateral cooperation in all areas, including agriculture. He said China will earnestly implement the agriculture-related consensus reached at the meeting, with focuses on promoting the development of agricultural industrial parks and continuing to boost cooperation in cotton, rice cultivation and water-saving agriculture, among others. China will also strengthen agricultural product promotion and investment in order to reap more practical benefits from agricultural cooperation.

Minister Khodjaev responded positively to the proposals of the Chinese side, saying that Uzbekistan remains committed to working with China to push forward agricultural cooperation in all aspects in order to make bigger contributions to the economies of both countries.
