Minister Han Changfu meets his Hungarian counterpart Sándor Fazekas

Minister Han Changfu met with Dr. Sándor Fazekas, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Hungary, in Beijing on 11 Sept. 2017. The two sides exchanged views on deepening bilateral agricultural cooperation. The Hungarian Minister is visiting China to attend the 20th China Agro Processing Industry Investment and Trade Fair. 

 

Minister Han extended a warm welcome to Sándor Fazekas. Minister Han noted that China and Hungary enjoy traditional friendship and sound agricultural cooperation mechanisms. The two sides have conducted practical cooperation in agricultural trade and S&T, and scored remarkable achievements in this regard. Hungary's participation in the Trade Fair, signifying great importance attached by Hungary to bilateral agricultural cooperation, will further promote cooperation in agro processing and trade.

 

China is willing to dovetail its Belt and Road Initiative with Hungarian Eastern Opening policy, align China-Central Eastern European Countries cooperation (the 16 + 1 cooperation) with the Belt and Road Initiative to promote broader and higher-level cooperation in agriculture by leveraging respective strengths and tapping cooperation potentials.

 

Minister Sándor Fazekas agreed with Minister Han. He expressed that the Hungarian side deems China as one of the most important partners and stands ready to intensify friendly cooperation with China and boost agricultural trade and investment.

 

On their way to Zhumadian, Henan Province for the Fair, the two ministers visited Sanquan Food Co., LTD and Shuanghui Group, two renowned food processing companies in China.
