The 20th China Agro Processing Industry Investment and Trade Fair opened in Zhumadian City, Henan Province of China on 13 Sept. 2017. The event was jointly organized by the MOA and Henan Provincial People 's Government.

Minister Han Changfu addressed the event and declared the Trade Fair open. Governor of Henan Province Chen Run’er, Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources Mirzayev Zoyir Toirovich and Hungarian Agricultural Minister Sándor Fazekas addressed the opening ceremony.

Minister Han noted that the Trade Fair is of great significance to showing industrial achievements, sharing experience and discussing cooperation. Having been successfully held for 19 sessions, the Trade Fair has boosted the agro processing industry. At present, agro processing is shifting from quantity expansion to quality improvement in China. Following the principle of supply-side structural reform in agriculture, China’s agro processing will focus on industrial transformation and upgrading in four aspects, specifically, structure, system, technologies & equipment and operating entities.

Over 5,000 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions were present at the Fair. The Fair attracted over 30,000 visitors.
