The Second Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS)Agriculture Ministers' Meeting was held in Siem Reap, Cambodia from September 6 to 8, 2017.
China's Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) Zhang Zhongqiu headed the Chinese delegation to the meeting.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery of Cambodia and the Asian Development Bank co-hosted the meeting, and Cambodian Deputy Prime MinisterYim Chhai Ly delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.
The meeting reviewed GMS agricultural cooperation achievements, approved the 2018-2022 GMS Strategy to Boost Safe and Environment-friendly Agriculture Supply Chains and Siem Reap Action Plan, and released the Joint Statement of the Second GMS Agriculture Ministers' Meeting.
During the trip in Cambodia, CVO Zhang Zhongqiu also paid a field visit to the China-Cambodia Tropical Eco-agricultural Cooperation Demonstration Zone and the China-Cambodia Agriculture Promotion Center.
