More aquaculture feed projects licensed in Vietnam's Dong Thap province


Vietnam's Dong Thap province has granted a license to DOMYFEED Co. Ltd. for the building of an aquaculture feed plant with an annual output capacity of 60,000 tonnes.


The feed plant has a total investment of VND 81.5 billion (US$4.8 million), covers 40,000 square metres in Sa Dec town and is scheduled for operation in December 2008.


Domenal Joint Stock Company was also licensed to build a VND 144 billion (US$8.6 million) aquaculture feedmill at the Phong My Industrial Zone. This facility also has an annual output capacity of 60,000 tonnes and will become operational in October 2008.


The Mekong Delta currently has 27 aquaculture feed processing projects with a combined output of over 2 million tonnes.
