On June 26, CNPC donated RMB 1 million to Dazhou, a city in southwestern China’s Sichuan Province, to help local residents rebuild their homes following a devastating flood.

Ten cities were hit by floods, mudslides and landslides since torrential rain started to deluge the province on June 15. In Dazhou, the worst-hit city, at least 10 people were killed, with 64 injured and about 2.3 million people in 132 counties and townships affected. Huge economic losses resulted from the disaster.
