On the approval of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, China Textile Industrial Engineering Institute has merged into CNPC and became one of its wholly owned subsidiaries.

China Textile Industrial Engineering Institute is the only state-level survey and design enterprise in China's textile industry, and it has considerable engineering design and construction advantages in the fields of textile chemical fibers and petrochemicals.

The merging of the institute will help CNPC to perfect its industrial chain, increase the attachment value of its downstream products, upgrade its integrated resources superiority and enhance the competitive strength of its industrial chain.
