On January 5, the surface engineering of Xifeng Oilfield 1500kt/a productivity construction project received the 2007 National Quality Engineering Award Gold Medal.

Xifeng Oilfield islocated in the southeast of the Ordos Basin, a feature of which is its extremely low permeability. New technologies, especially systemic management of surface construction characterized by intensified technical integration, were adopted during the construction of Xifeng Oilfield, resulting in the automatization of oilfield data information being enhanced, and higher HSE managerial criterion and requirements being met.

Launched in 1981, the National Quality Engineering Award is the nation's top engineering construction award, judging of which is organized by the Construction Enterprise Management Association of China. It is aimed at raising quality awareness in the engineering field in order to constantly improve quality management performance.
