Northwest Marketing Company delivers more than 10,000 tons of oil products for quake relief

    Tocope withoil shortages in quake-hit areas caused by the temporary suspension of the Lanzhou-Chengdu-Chongqing Pipeline and the Baoji-Chengdu Railroad, CNPC's tanker fleets, despite frequent aftershocks, shuttled back and forth along the Shaanxi-Sichuan Highway.

At 9:30pm on May 13, the first batch of 21 tankersleft Xianyang, Shaanxi Province, and arrived at the cities of Mianyang and Deyang in Sichuan after over 10 hours of non-stop traveling. At 3:30am on May 15, the second batch of 61 tankers with 1,300 tons of oil products arrived at the city of Guangyuan in Sichuan. At 12:40pm on May 15, the third batch of 48 tankers with 926 tons of oil products also arrived at Guangyuan.

    After traveling continuously for nine days and nights, tankers from CNPC's Northwest Marketing Company had delivered a total of 10,000 tons of oil products to quake-hit areas in Sichuan.
